Usually the beauty of a design is in relation to its surrounding. The objects are in relationship with one another without sacrificing their independence.
In this graphic the beauty of the bookcase is enhanced in relationship to the window and the sunlight streaming through it. Light, shade and asymmetric pattern (on the whole) lends to the beauty of the composition. In this composition pairs of opposites dominate — Transparent – Opaque; Light – Dark; Solid – Fragile; Symmetry – Asymmetry. Therefore placement of objects takes on a meaning.
The cool ‘optical illusion‘ hidden in the bookcase makes the whole design rather interesting and really cool! Could you spot it?
